Park trains have become indispensable not only as travelling attraction, but also as passenger carrying facility in amusement parks. Whether they be historical, Far West or Fantasy, railways’ appeal is unabated.
Locomotive I The locomotive of Park Express 6000 accommodates ll switching and regulating elements required for the driver to operate the train and inform the passengers. Depending on the customer’s requirements, optional equipment can be supplied. The driver gets a comfortable workplace from which he has an adequate general view and easy access to all operating elements. Front windows are glazed so that the interior is sheltered from the weather.
Carriage I The carriages each offer space for 15 people on 5 rows of seats. Standard carriages are roofed, and styled as required by the customer. By being fitted with hydraulic brakes, the train meets the highest safety requirements. Access is granted by lock-up doors. We are also in a position to supply carriages that are accessible with wheelchairs or prams.
Drive I That train uses regular diesel hydraulic drive adjuted to its specific requirements. An electric drive can also be installed to meet current demands. Depending on the load resulting from the number of carriages and the gradient of possible slopes present along the circuit 8 or 12 wheels will be powered. Moreover, a special self-aligning bearing system was developed by Metallbau Emmeln for the drive bogie, which allows to take slopes of up to 4%.
Rail I For the track Metallbau Emmeln uses, depending on the needs and strains to be expected, an original sectional rail S 10 or S 14. The rails are laid on oak planks, whereas the radius of curve should not be inferior to the minimum value of 15 m. Double tracks for bridge overpasses as well as various points systems can also be offered.
