Vehicles I The vehicles are of very sturdy and compact construction, and fitted with lovingly reproduced details. Vehicle body is completely made of glass-fibre reinforced polyester, painting is individually carried out by hand. Vehicles offer  enough space for 2 or 4 people.

Roadway I The small radius of curve of only approx. 3.50 m / 5.00 m makes installation also possible in a restricted space. The roadway must be level and as far as possible provided with an abrasion-resistant, smooth surface. Roadway width approx. 1.40 / 1.60 m.

Departure and arrival I The jeeps are equipped with a semiautomatic control system featuring an optical sensor. At start and stop point the vehicles are set into motion by pressing a key. All other sequences of operation are then fully automatic.

Park trains have become indispensable not only as travelling attraction, but also as passenger carrying facility in amusement parks. Whether they be historical, Far West or Fantasy, railways’ appeal is unabated.

Locomotive I The locomotive of Park Express 6000 accommodates ll switching and regulating elements required for the driver to operate the train and inform the passengers. Depending on the customer’s requirements, optional equipment can be supplied. The driver gets a comfortable workplace from which he has an adequate general view and easy access to all operating elements. Front windows are glazed so that the interior is sheltered from the weather.

Carriage I The carriages each offer space for 15 people on 5 rows of seats. Standard carriages are roofed, and styled as required by the customer. By being fitted with hydraulic brakes, the train meets the highest safety requirements. Access is granted by lock-up doors. We are also in a position to supply carriages that are accessible with wheelchairs or prams.

Drive I That train uses regular diesel hydraulic drive adjuted to its specific requirements. An electric drive can also be installed to meet current demands. Depending on the load resulting from the number of carriages and the gradient of possible slopes present along the circuit 8 or 12 wheels will be powered. Moreover, a special self-aligning bearing system was developed by Metallbau Emmeln for the drive bogie, which allows to take slopes of up to 4%.

Rail I For the track Metallbau Emmeln uses, depending on the needs and strains to be expected, an original sectional rail S 10 or S 14. The rails are laid on oak planks, whereas the radius of curve should not be inferior to the minimum value of 15 m. Double tracks for bridge overpasses as well as various points systems can also be offered.

To go on a “great” journey by train: you can make that child‘s dream come true. With our 450 mm track gauge ParkExpress.ppeal is unabated.

About the train I Unlike its brother, the 6000 type, Park Express 5500 is a children’s roundabout operated electrically. There is either the possibility for the operator to ride on the train or to operate the train from the control station. According to the wanted capacity the drive will be designed individually. We offer trains with a radius of curves of only 4 m, the standard train has a radius of 7.50 m. All trains are equipped with braked motors and soft start controls.

Extra requirements in design or technology can also be taken into consideration. For the rail equipment we use an original sectional rail S7 which is mounted fully insulated on steel sleepers.

Veterancars

Vehicles I Lovingly reproduced details give the vehicles their very nostalgic look, however, functionality does not remain in the background. The vehicle body made of very resistant glass-fibre reinforced polyester houses state of-the-art technology. A smooth start control unit, a planetary gear motor as well as crash protection sensors and the current-input roller system specially developed by Metallbau Emmeln, for instance, have been built in. Vehicles can be offered with two seats or four seats. The radius of curve for 2-seated vehicles is min. 4.50 m, for 4 seated ones min. 5 m.

Special equipment I Additional interaction possibilities along with many other customer requirements can be offered as complementary equipment. Completely new vehicle types are also possible.

Not only the crazy optic but also the complete unusual way of driving gives a lot of fun to the driver as well as to the viewing visitors.

Description I The circuit may be designed on customers request within the scope of technical possibilities. The vehicles are designed in a way to move extremely. The hubs of the rear wheels are mounted with a different eccentricity, which results in the vehicle featuring a particularly bumpy driving behaviour. To ensure still adequate current supply the front part of the stone age vehicles is fitted with a hinge that compensates the movements. The motion is intensified optically by the high roof. The dimensions of the vehicles and the small radius of curves partly generate noticeable accelerations which produce another unexpected effect.

Vehicles I The drive is an electric one that effects directly with a gear onto a back wheel. The vehicle frame is able to absorb the high strains. Like all of our new models the Stone Age vehicle possesses our type of trolley wheel power input system that reduces the cost for the maintenance and spare parts enormously. Vehicles are each provided with a safety bow that automatically opens at the end of the drive. Optical sensors ensure the right distance between vehicles. All the materials are of high quality and the vehicles are complex designed.

Operation I The operator only has to start the first vehicle and the exit vehicle. The optical sensors prevent the vehicles from crashing into each other as well during the drive as in the station area. Moreover, all vehicles are provided with a smooth start control unit. Vehicles are steered through a guide rail system that was specially developed for that purpose and has also proven efficient in other product lines. An open copper bar for positive and negative voltage each is mounted to the guide rail in a way that special rolls (2 for each polarity at a time) are able to take up the power. With this an optimum power input can be reached and the bus-bar can be cleaned easily.

„Horses“ I The “horses”/vehicle bodies are made of polyester and fully resistant to weathering. Paint is applied using the airbrush process. A DC motor of 400 W rating ensures the propulsion, while an eccentrically mounted roller produces the typical galloping motion.

Equipment I “Horses”/vehicles can be provided with an acoustic device so that a corresponding neighing or grunting for instance will be produced at regular intervals. It is possible to provide the “horses”/vehicles with an additional small child saddle, such saddle requiring that an adult drives together with the child. For the design of the vehicles various models (e.g. horse, camel, pig, lion, …) are available; however, the amount of work for a new model matching your own theming is affordable. As for all guided rides vehicles are controlled fully automatically within the station area. Start and getting-off areas are attended by one operator only.

Rail track The rail track is always individually assembled to suit the existing terrain (circuit is not bound to standard elements). It is composed of single segments that are screwed to each other. The minimum radius of curves depends on the figures used and is 5 m or 4 m. The optimum length of rails is determined using the following rule of thumb: Number of vehicles x 22 m. Whenever that formula is taken into account ±20%, it will result in the entire installation having a theoretical capacity of 480/h with double-seat vehicles.

The assembly of the installation is conceivably easy since hardly any preparatory work is required. The circuit bed has merely to be excavated and be level, so that Metallbau Emmeln will be able to lay the ground sleepers on which the rail segments are then screwed. After that the sleepers are covered with soil or bark mulch for instance.

This is the exciting means of transport for a drive through any show, whether outdoor – the vehicle presenting itself as part of the theming – or in a dark gost train attraction in which the vehicle only has to be reliable and functional.

On the basis of our long-standing experience we are able to meet all requirements of rail-guided trains. Typical uses are ghost-castles but they can come into action in museums, exhibitions or as a means of transport only, too.

Usually the vehicles run as single vehicles for 2-6 persons. But trains with a higher capacity can be brought into action, too. Often a small floor place required is most important. Our special engineering solutions allow the vehicles to operate with a very small radius of curves.

This attraction conjures up to the atmosphere of “holidays on the farm” that all children are so fond of. You will easily find the exhibits allowing reflecting that theme. You may even think of exciting “accessories” such as a real small zoo where children can pat the animals.

Vehicles Generously dimensioned tyres with broad cleats as well as the impressive size and the accentuation of some single details impart to the vehicles the particular appeal that fascinates children. Add to this the acoustic device accurately produces an engine‘s noise. Young and old will be enthusiastic about the colour design as well as the possibilities to play during the drive. The sturdy vehicles are driven by an electric motor directly acting on one of the rear wheels via the gear. The vehicle body is made of polyester with some details sculpturally standing out. The tractors offer enough room for 2 children in the front and 2 adults on a bench in the rear.

Rail equipment The tractors are operated by means of our roller system and thus use the rail installation specifically developed for that purpose, with 2 open copper rails which ensure very good current conduction and are easy to clean.

Operation Vehicles are controlled in such a way that the operator has in fact nearly just a supervising function. The start will only be accepted when the door is closed. Now the door gets locked and the tractor rides the track. Optical switches prevent the vehicles from crashing during the ride or in the station area. Getting to the finish the tractor comes to a halt and unlocks the door. After the guests have got off and closed the door the tractor can move to the start again. The operator presses the “Start” button and the tractor drives towards the starting point.

Equipment possibilities The use of stronger motors, a back-run safety device and a centrifugal clutch allows to overcome gradients of up to 6%. In addition the vehicles can be provided with a gas pedal allowing the children to noticeably modify the speed acoustically. As option a real boost of the speed is also feasible.

Pedalmonorail

The passengers of that ride have the impression that they glide above the heads of the other park visitors. The vehicles move at “dizzy heights” without any noise of chains or motors. Driving is at times faster, at times slower, because the pace is set by the passengers. They provide the additional power themselves via pedals: Being active together definitely meets the current trend.

 

Design The exterior of the vehicles is your own choice as far as the proportions are retained. We also have a large number of models at your disposal.

 

Vehicles Chassis consist of a very sturdy welded tubular steel construction that gets its exterior appearance through complete polyester cladding. All parts used such as bearings, rollers, free-wheels as well as all accessories of the drive system have been selected because they hardly need any maintenance. The drive itself is provided by toothed flat belts: the high-quality bearings do not require any lubrication. Which means that no technical maintenance will be needed.

 

Track Static calculation of the sectional rails was carried out for support spacing of 6.50 m. The minimum radius of a curve is 5 m and the minimum height over public areas must be 2.50 m.
